Upcoming presentation at #ALA11

If you are attending #ALA11 in New Orleans, LA this year, feel free to stop by my session on Sunday June 26 from 8-10AM:

2.0 to P21 – Using Emerging Technologies to Embed 21st Century Skills into your Library's Instructional Program
Convention Center room 339

Social media and online collaborative tools offer librarians myriad opportunities to boost program visibility. Examine a plethora of free online tools that, when used in a library program, improve student learning, strengthen librarians’ instructional partnerships with teachers, forge evidence-based practices, bolster budgets, increase circulation, and ameliorate community collaboration. Presenter, Michelle Luhtala, department chair at New Canaan High School (CT) Library, a 2010 NSLPY winner, will highlight the impact of emerging technologies on her program, and provide practical guidelines for replication.

Hope to see you there!
